I was born in 1977 in what was then Karl-Marx-Stadt and took snapshots with my first camera, a Beirette K100, at an early age. Then in 2008 I acquired my first digital SLR camera, a Nikon D60, and no longer wanted to just capture memories, but began to take an interest in what makes good photography.

Since May 2014 I have been living, working and photographing in Berlin (again).
